Seamless Integration with ITSM Tools and Processes
Software should be designed to optimize your IT operations processes. That’s why Live Maps integrates with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools like Microsoft Service Manager, ServiceNow and BMC Remedy. Our integration synchronizes service maps into the CMDB. This way you can easily prioritize incidents or plan change requests based on their service impact. And use our proactive SLA monitoring to help maintain healthy service levels.

Dashboards for Anyone on Any Device
Your IT & business experts analyze issues from different perspectives. And you need information that will connect them: from your Management and Executives to the Helpdesk Engineers. For example, a CIO needs to know if services are available to end-users while the Service Owner needs to know which team is responsible for outages and their impact on his SLA. Meanwhile, Engineers need the exact details to find the root-cause of the problem. Live Maps comes with a responsive HTML5 portal, and read-only dashboards which allows users to share dashboards with other users in the organization, controlling the level of information they want to expose.

Advanced Service Level Agreement (SLA) Monitoring
Each service level agreement created by Live Maps now has an associated System Center Operations Manager monitor associated to it. The monitor will change state from healthy to warning to critical as the SLA approaches and then passes the breach condition. This allows operations teams and business service owners to receive proactive notifications when SLAs are in danger of not being met.
The dashboard has been enhanced to contain a column showing the state of the SLAs for each business service. Business days and hours can be configured independently for each service and the SLA will only be calculated and monitored for those specific periods. This decreases the noise that operations teams will face during non-critical periods.
Take the Business Services that you have created with Live Maps and automatically synchronize them with the CMDB of System Center Service Manager (SCSM), ServiceNow and BMC Remedy. ITSM users can then see at a glance which services are impacted by which incidents and impact analyses can be performed on change requests.
Enhanced Performance Dashboards
Take your Live Maps diagrams to the next level with support for inline performance metrics. Embed any of the performance metrics available in System Center Operations Manager directly in Live Maps diagrams, giving you all the information you need to stay on top of your complex IT environment.
Performance problems are often the source of application issues. Spikes in load, insufficient memory for caching, or disks that are too slow for high volume data queries can result in your business critical services becoming unavailable. Live Maps shows you the critical performance metrics that matter to your business line owners and IT engineers right in your dashboards and service models. See the full 360 degree view of your application and correlate changes in performance with service health issues.
An understanding of application architecture – both physical and logical – is critical to the diagnosis of performance and availability issues. Live Maps comes with out-of-the-box service models built using the most recent information available from Microsoft and subject-matter experts. With one click, Live Maps will discover your deployments of applications like SharePoint, Lync and Active Directory and will provide deep and insightful diagrams that make troubleshooting service issues a breeze. The latest release of Live Maps also includes the following out-of-the-box services: Configuration Manager, Skype for Business 2015, Exchange 2010 and 2013, Windows DHCP, DNS, and Remote Desktop Services.
Dynamically Updating Services
Many IT departments have integrated their SCOM deployments with third-party software that generates distributed applications on the fly. Live Maps has the ability to take those generated distributed applications and turn them into meaningful service models that enable proper issue triage and root cause analysis. As the distributed applications change over time, Live Maps will keep the service model synchronized.
The days of having to locate the right Excel sheet to find out where a troubled device is located are gone. Live Maps lets you create maps of your datacenter and racks that seamlessly integrate into the System Center consoles. So now you not only know what the problem is, but also exactly where it is.
Advanced Network Topologies
Most of the time when you are troubleshooting a service outage you need to understand the state of the network. Our network topology views let you draw and monitor your network with System Center Operations Manager. Now you can instantly see the ports your devices are connected to and the state of the network connections between and at your sites.
Interactive Geographical Maps
Interactive Geographical Map adds complete location-awareness to the System Center Suite. You can add exact coordinates to every device managed by System Center Operations Manager. Live Maps Interactive Maps (powered by Microsoft Bing Maps) gives you access to all its features like zooming, panning and automatic clustering.
Native Mobile Application
The Mobile Console lets you keep track of your critical business applications even if you are away from your desk. Also it lets you eliminate alert and notification noise. View the state of your Live Map views and be notified when the state of a Live Map view changes. Available for Windows, Android and iOS.
Service Outage Notifications
Consolidated service disruption notifications reduce notification noise and increase the quality and resolution rate of alerts.
Automated Incident Prioritization
Automatically updates System Center Service Manager incidents with affected Services allowing for easy impact analysis and prioritization.
Automated Creation of SCOM Distributed Applications
The Live Maps Authoring console allows any person to build dynamically updating SCOM distributed applications through a user friendly UI and time saving wizards.
Unlimited Dashboard Sharing
Unlimited Dashboard Sharing provides a way for you to share dashboards with other users in the organization, even if they do not have any access to SCOM. They allow you to control drilldown behavior to prevent users from navigating to other Live Maps dashboards.
The Service Notes feature provides a way for Live Maps users to create notes for any of their Live Maps business services and communicate updates about services to other users in the organization. For example, Service Notes can point out that a service outage is already being worked on, what the estimated amount of downtime will be or who to contact if there is an outage.
