Service Health Index

There are times when the default ‘Worst Of’ health state rollup used in SCOM is not enough.  Often there is a need to classify components within a business service based on how critical they are for that business service to function.  Live Maps now provides an easy way for users to classify components within a business service, which will generate a ‘Service Health Index’ for that service.  This provides even more detailed visibility about the health of a business service based on the operational health of the underlying components provided by SCOM.

Streamlined Windows Authentication

The login screen for the Live Maps Portal has been removed when Windows Authentication Express is in use. You are now automatically logged in without ever having to visit a login screen. This speeds up the time to login to the Live Maps Portal when using Windows Authentication Express.

Graphical SQL Query Widget

Live Maps can execute an SQL query statement and present the results in a table, but also execute a SQL query that returns a single number, and then display that number in the widget.
