Live Maps is easy to install. The express install deploys the Live Maps web experience in minutes. This eliminates the additional steps required for more advanced features, which can be enabled over time based on an organization’s needs.
HTML5 Web Experience
Every Live Maps dashboard can be viewed and used on any device with its responsive, web experience. Completely Silverlight free, its easy to view the Health Explorer, configure maintenance mode, close alerts, and execute tasks for any SCOM object.
Native Mobile Application
Live Maps Mobile makes keeping track of critical IT services placeless. Eliminate alert and notification noise by focusing only on the dashboard that matter, not hundreds of alerts. Available for Windows, Android and iOS.
Native SCOM Integration
Due to its native integration with System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Live Maps does not require any additional hardware investment.
SCOM Console + Reporting Integration
All groups and dashboards created with Live Maps are available in SCOM’s console and reporting services.
Service Outage Notifications
Consolidated service disruption notifications reduce noise and increase the quality and resolution rate of alerts.
Target specific services and underlying perspectives to alert and notify teams when service levels are violated. Further manage notifications based on its supported hours – often called office hours – to minimize unnecessary notifications and errant SLA calculations.
Integrated Help and Learning Center
The Help and Learning Center provides useful videos, tutorials and specific help content. No matter your SCOM or Live Maps skill level, the help center makes getting Live Maps up and running a simple process.
Quickly search for any object in SCOM or any created dashboard from the Live Maps homepage. From the search results, just navigate to the Live Maps dashboard or to the details of the selected SCOM object.
Visual Object Explorer
The Live Maps Dashboard Authoring Console makes building new dashboards painless. By using its Visual Object Explorer, its easy to logically find, place, and develop dynamic update rules using its logical, nested tree structure.
Create limitless nested dashboards by dropping one onto another. Health-state roll-up is configured by dashboard from child-to-parent ensuring that only relevant information is shown at each level.
Brand the Live Maps console with delightful out-of-the-box themes or any chosen color. Dark, Light, and Blue themes are offered by default. Advanced users can fully brand Live Maps by overriding CSS settings on the web server.
Easy-to-share dashboards provide a way to share dashboards with other users in your organization, even if they do not have any access to SCOM. Role-based permissions allow you to control the drill-down behavior and access behavior to prevent users from navigating to other Live Maps dashboards.
Automated Incident Prioritization
Automatically update System Center Service Manager incidents with affected services allowing for easy impact analysis and prioritization.
